My new favourite artist at the moment is David Walker with his multi-layered style. I'm totally drawn to the fluidity, weave of clashing colours, translucent drips and decaying letter forms of his work...

5min break with Bo at The Book Club...
Last Thursday I went to the launch of Raarr, which will be on at The Book Club until 25th Feburary. It was a great night and I also managed to squeeze in a quick interview with Art Curator and Illustrator Jason Kerley.
What do you like best about being an Art Curator at The Book Club? Being a problem solver, as a bar environment has certain limitations, but at the same time the shows are also multidisciplinary, so I get to work with a wide range of different mediums and the crowds are more fun.
With your own illustration what would you say your style is? I have an automatic style of drawing which is fluid and based around structures.
If you were a biscuit what would you be? A pink wafer, as they are hard to come by, but when you do it's like meeting an old friend at a party.

Well tonight is shaping up to be an interesting mix of art and dancing, as I'm also attending a press night at The Brickhouse for the 'Sinner Saint Burlesque'. The show 'The Sacred and Profane' channels the aesthetic of old world beauty and glamour, whilst fusing modern theatre and culture to create titillating and uplifting cabaret entertainment...
Raarr!
When Never work with children or animals they say... Well, new exhibition Raarr, opening this Thursday at The Book club has broken those two golden rules. Twenty two illustrators have been specially commissioned to draw a reptile, bird, mammal, amphibian, fish or insect of their choosing... These headless wonders will then be passed onto twenty two eager children who will complete the drawings. I'll be going along with a guest blogger Imogen (who will be helping me do a write and interview of one or more the artists)...
Spring equinox...
I'm loving the Spring Equinox collection by Topshop. With neon accents, gossamer-thin pieces and geometric shapes, who wouldn't be enticed to do a little shopping. Apparently grungy and layering is also key, which is fine by me as it's starting to get a little cold. Lets hope the UK has it's warmest winter ever and roll on Spring I say!

2012 is already shaping up to be a very busy year with lots of exciting projects and events to attend! I spent yesterday scouting locations in Hackney Wick, for a photo shoot with an amazing band I can't wait to meet (more to come soon). I've almost completed the artwork for Christa Vi's single 'Your Heart' (you will get a special preview) and 2012 is going to be a super healthy year for me, so I have been cooking up a storm…

The Monument, commemorates the Great Fire of 1666 and is often attributed to Christopher Wren - who choose its location 202 feet from the baker's shop in Pudding Lane where the fire originated.
