Spring equinox...

I'm loving the Spring Equinox collection by Topshop. With neon accents, gossamer-thin pieces and geometric shapes, who wouldn't be enticed to do a little shopping. Apparently grungy and layering is also key, which is fine by me as it's starting to get a little cold. Lets hope the UK has it's warmest winter ever and roll on Spring I say!

I've seen these paper eyelashes a few times now and the concept is pretty cool. I’m pretty sure using paper to create that dramatic look is not the first thing that comes to mind, but it looks like a trend that is becoming increasing popular. These unique eyelashes are inspired by the art of Chinese paper cutting to carve intricate designs. I'm pretty short, but crop tops (that seem to be everywhere) aren't even long enough on me. So where are all these children sized women hiding? or is this a ploy for fashion houses to cut costs, due to the economic climate? Where are these ladies that love to show their mid-drifts? Even with my ripped six pack (cough) I'm not a fan of this trend and can't wait for it to be out the door, unless we start seeing crop knits for winter? Oh dear...

On Sunday I popped along to London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House with Christa. Despite the gloomy weather and tube closures, I was determined to have a nosey through the designer stalls. There were jostling crowds of women all desperate to get their hands on a bargain (what economic downturn?). After a good nosy around, I picked up a beautiful Sara Berman scarf designed by one of my favourite graffiti artists Dan Baldwin and Christa picked up the most gorgeous pair of Boss vintage sunglasses and designer scarf amongst other things he he he...

Doing wedding photography has made me realise there are always lots of fascinators, but not many hats. I think hats need to make a comeback! I love these beautiful ones by Hatastic, who make hats from recycled bits and bobs (a great way to help the enviroment, while looking good too)...

Sockless men?

The increasingly popular British trend of loafers without socks is the summer preppy look for men. I know it's been around for some time, but recently this rule has spanned to any shoe. Is this an acceptable trend? Maybe if the shoes are leather and there is plenty of foot powder to soak up the sweaty stench, but really how many guys do you think will go to the effort of powdering there shoes? Me thinks it's a big no no boys!
